Robyn first met Jonathan during the writing of his new book, You Don’t Have to Be Ruthless to Win. Through the process, Robyn recognized that she closely shared the values within the 15 Operating Principles and began to shift her focus toward working more closely with Keyser’s purpose. She has incorporated many of the principle foundations into her own company and is a lead contributor in the creation of the workshops and core member in the establishment of the Keyser Institute.
& My Personal Commitment to Service
I spent most of my life watching my parents give everything they had to their family, their jobs, and their faith. We experienced financial hardship as jobs came and went, but they always managed to land on their feet—and still make it to softball games and school performances.
My mom became an entrepreneur before it was considered acceptable, especially for working mothers. She was generous, forgiving, and unconditional in her love for others. My parents invited strangers into our home who would visit our church. Though the result was sometimes painful, my mother always found a way to forgive and continue to show love. It is her heart that has guided many of my choices in my life, my business, and with my family.
The work I do, first and foremost, is to serve other. We recognize that all people make mistakes, everything worth doing requires sacrifice, and support and love should be given freely. My husband and our three children live simply but open our home to foster children because we believe every child needs love and safety. We are thrilled to be in the process of adopting a child as well.
